New Year, New Blog

Happy New Year everyone! This is my first official blog post for “taffetadarlings” and hopefully, it is the first of many to come. As 2010 unrelentingly approached, I decided that I should ring in the New Year by starting a blog. I figured it was more novel than starting a diet or quitting smoking (which would be weird since I don’t smoke) and I also thought, “What could we all really use as we enter a new decade?” The answer was so clear –- another BLOG! I’ve been tremendously inspired (and maybe even a little coerced) by the lovely talented jewelry designer and award winning blogger, Wendy Brandes http://www.wendybrandes.com/ to start my own little blog. So, here I am to share fashion, art, culture and anything else that is particularly fascinating to me at any given moment!

I named this blog after one of my all time favorite movie scenes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pwj0Ir3sYSI(from Young Frankenstein). First of all, it is hilarious (or High-larious as my friend WendyB would say). Secondly, I’ve been a designer for 17 years and I know just as well as Mel Brooks how easily taffeta wrinkles! At least it’s easier to sew than silk charmeuse…

  6. P.S. That Patrick Kelly makes me look like I've got a 40" bust with a cup size too large to measure. WTF!
