Shoe Envy
Doing a little research online, I just came across a killer pair of stripe (love!) platform wedges by one of my favs, Pierre Hardy (love love!). I think I will have dreams about these. Barneys is just a hop, skip and jump from my home base, but one thing I don't need (besides a hole in the head) is another pair of shoes. Give me strength!!

Summer Stripes
I've always been a huge fan of stripes -- black and white, sailor looks and pinstripes. I find they work best in the spring and summer months because they convey such freshness through the bright colors and the use of white.

Designer Derek Lam's new, somewhat lower priced diffusion line, "10 Crosby" (which is actually the corporate address of the label) showed a small capsule of graphicly bright looks for Spring 2012. Here are some of my favorite looks from the collection...

Get Horizontal!
Horizontal stripes make you look fat? Pshaw! I won't listen to that rumor, never have. Something about the freshness of a black and white or navy and white stripe just looks right to me. Sure, it can be perceived as overly nautical, but I don't consider that such a bad thing. I imagine myself on a yacht somewhere!
Just like my obsession for white in the summer, I have the same affinity for stripes as you can see...
OK, are you getting stripe overload? Well, there's more where these came from! But, I will spare you the optic exercise... for now.
